Highchair Time!!!

Caeden got a highchair for Christmas from Grandma Glenda and Grandpa Jim. Daddy put it together today so we tried it out tonight. Caeden loved it!

Caeden's First Christmas

Caeden's first Christmas was a lot of fun. He did take a little interest in opening presents, the most fun for him was playing with the crinkled up wrapping paper. He was a VERY spoiled baby this year. You should see all of the toys and clothes he got! After a very crabby Christmas day we discovered that Caeden has got to be teething. He has a bump on his bottom gums and he really likes to chew on things and he drools like crazy! Here's some fun pictures of his first Christmas!

5 Months Old Already!!!

It's hard to believe that Caeden is five months old already. Time has sure gone by fast. Each day he's discovering new things. His latest discoveries are that he can make bubbles and talk at the same time and he giggles a lot more and at the littlest of things. Tonight he giggled at his cousin Colton who was just sitting in front of his car seat. He just kept giggling and giggling as Colton stared at him, it was so cute. He's going on week three of being at daycare and along with daycare comes colds and other illnesses....after the first week he brought the cold home. He's stuffed up and has a yucky cough. He sleeps with a vaporizer on in the room and it seems to be helping a little bit. His appetite has dropped within the last day so we're trying really hard to get him to eat and drink. If it gets any worse we'll be taking him to the Dr. He seems to really like daycare. All of the other kids get excited when we drop him off. It's fun to see. He always has a smile for Beth when we drop him off. The first week was rough on Mom, but it's getting easier as time goes by.

Caeden Meets Santa!!!

Santa and Mrs. Claus came to Mommy's work today so Caeden got to sit on Santa's lap. He did great, he even gave Mrs. Claus a smile :)

Caeden at 4 Months

We're a little behind in updating everyone on Caeden this month. Things have been pretty busy. Caeden is doing great and growing like crazy. He's developing such a personality. This month he got to meet Great Great Aunt Angie and Great Great Uncle Dick from Arizona. He's trying to roll over from his back to his tummy now and he absolutely loves to blow bubbles. He learned a new trick too, if you stick your tongue out at him he tries to do it back. For Thanksgiving he got his first taste of mashed potatoes and was even snuck a little bit of Cool whip! We've been pretty busy getting ready for Christmas too. We put the tree up last weekend and Caeden likes to look at the lights. Presents are already under the tree too, he'll be one spoiled little boy this Christmas.

Caeden Eats Solids for the first time!!!

A week or so ago, Caeden ate cereal for the first time. Tonight we mixed prunes with his cereal, boy did he love that :)

Caeden's 4 Month Check up

Caeden went to the Dr yesterday for his four month check up. He now weighs 12 lbs 13 oz and is 24 inches long. He's in tenth percentile for height and weight. He had another round of shots. 2 in one leg and one in the other. He was not a very happy baby yesterday because of it and today he slept a lot and played with Grandma Glenda. Pretty soon he'll be going to daycare. He starts daycare with Beth, Kyle's friend's mom, on December 1st. Mommy is kind of nervous about daycare, but we'll see how it goes.

Caeden's First Halloween!

Last Saturday Caeden went to his first Halloween party. Avera Mckennan NICU graduates were invited to the Golf Dome for a halloween costume party. It'll be a lot more fun for him as he grows up because they have games, inflatables, and prizes. Caeden dressed up as a Pumpkin for Halloween and Mommy and Daddy took him trick or treating to Grandma & Grandpa Reiters, Aunt Jo, Uncle Larry and Jenny's house, Grandpa Jim & Grandma Glenda's House, and Grandma Lynnette and Grandpa Jeff's house. He made out with quite a loot! Yesterday Caeden got to go visit Great Grandma and Grandpa Carmon's grave for the first time. It was tough for Mommy. After that we took Caeden to the tri-state marker so we could say he was in three places at once. He's now been to Nebraska, Iowa, and Minnesota in less than four months!!!

3 Months Old

Caeden is now three months old and is definitely growing. We are starting to wash up his 3-6 months clothes because he's starting to out grow his 0-3 months stuff because he's getting so long. He's "talking" up a storm too. Here's the video to prove it!

12 Weeks!!!

He's 12 weeks old already!!! He's cooing, rolling over, and starting to giggle. It's so much fun. Mommy went back to work on Monday and she's hating it. She wants to be at home so bad. Hopefully in a few months she'll be able to stay at home with Caeden permanently.

11 Weeks!

We can't believe the little guy is 11 weeks old now! Time has flown by. Mommy goes back to work on October 6th, she's not looking forward to it all and wishes she could just stay home. Grandma Glenda will be babysitting Caeden for the first two months and then he'll be going to daycare. Caeden is full of coos lately. There are times where you can "carry on a conversation" with him as he coos. It's so much fun. The tv has become his new friend. He loves to just sit there and watch all of the colors and movement. He'll even fall asleep in front of the tv. Lately he's been a little clingy and just wants to be held. We're not really sure why, but Mommy has been taking advantage of it before she goes back to work.

Caeden learns a new trick at 10 weeks!

Caeden can roll over now! He's ten weeks old today and has decided that it's time for him to roll over from his belly to his back when he's laying on the floor. He did it once yesterday but we thought it was an accident. Today he proved us wrong and did it at least ten times. He watched his first Baby Einstein movie today and absolutely loved it. He was cooing at the tv. Lately he's pretty content if you just set him in his little infant seat in front of the tv. He'll sit there for a good hour sometimes.

2 Months Old!!!

Caeden is now two months old! It's gone by so fast. He had his well baby check on Monday and he now weighs 9 lbs. 6 oz. and is 22 inches long. The doctor is still a little concerned about his spitting up and said that he's not gaining weight as fast as they'd like. So tomorrow he goes to the hospital at 7:45 A.M. for and upper GI to see if he has some type of relux. So after 5 A.M. he can't have anything to eat. Mommy plans on waking him up at 4:15 to make sure he gets fed, otherwise we'll have a really fussy baby. Hopefully everything goes well. We'll keep you all updated.

Caeden's Baptism

On Sunday, September 7th, Caeden was baptized at Zion Lutheran Church by Pastor Vernon Schindler. The same pastor that married Mommy & Daddy. His godparents are Lindsey Carmon and Larry and Jo Lamb. Caeden cried for about 20 minutes before church started and then fell asleep and stayed asleep during the entire baptism. After the baptism friends and family were invited to a lunch. We all had a lot of fun.

Caeden Goes to Omaha!

This past weekend Mommy, Daddy, Grandpa Jeff, Grandma Lynnette, Auntie Lindsey and Caeden went to Omaha. Daddy and Grandpa went to the season opener of the Huskers, while Mommy, Grandma, Lindsey and Caeden went shopping. Caeden slept in the car all the way there and all the way back. He was such a good baby for the entire trip. He got clothes, a new toy and a new book while we there. A lot of what he got is actually for Christmas so he doesn't even know about it :) Here are just a few pictures from the trip.
