October

Wow it's been awhile since we updated this. Caeden now has 7 teeth, 3 on top and 4 on bottom. Mommy thinks the other top one is working it's way though though. Last night Mommy, Daddy, and Auntie Lindsey took Caeden to the Zoo Boo. Caeder dressed up as a Monkey. We had to get the monkey costume because of his nickname. Caeden LOVED the Zoo. There was so many things and people to look at. We think his favorite thing to watch was th Emu run back and forth. He also liked looking at all of the carved pumpkins. He kept pointing at them and going eh eh! Last weekend Caeder got to paint his pumpkins for Halloween. Mommy made an Elmo pumpkin and Caeden painted a colorful design on his little pumpkin. Auntie Lindsey and Grandma Lynnette are working on a monkey pumpkin for him. Caeden has learned lots of new stuff in the past few weeks when he's at home with Grandma Glenda. He now knows what a cow says, what a lion says, where his hair, eyes, ears, nose and toes are. He also counted to two a few days ago. Our little baby is growing up too fast!

FINALLY!!!! A top tooth!

Caeden FINALLY cut a top tooth over night! We've been waiting for those "Bucky Beavers", as Grandma Lynnette calls them, to come in. He's got a mouth full of bumps on his gums and it's about time one of those silly teeth popped through! He's got two more teeth on top that are really close to cutting and one more on the bottom. He now has four teeth! He's pretty slow when it comes to getting teeth, but they say the longer they take to come in the healthier they are! Besides cutting teeth Caeden has been busy showing us where his belly button is as well as his fingers and his toes! Today our smart little baby put a peg shape puzzle together for the first time! We clapped and yelled yay for him so he clapped and yelled yay too! That's one of his new things as well. He loves to yell yay when people clap. He started doing that last weekend at Auntie Lindsey's soccer game. He'd clap after everyone else clapped then he'd turn to Grandpa Jeff and give him a hug. It was so cute. Once again Caeden made out with a haul in Omaha when we went shopping before Linds's game. We might be going back to Omaha next weekend too with Caeden's Grandpa Jim and Grandma Glenda. He's great in the car for trips, he can be fussy in the stores but it's nothing a few marshmallows and suckers can't fix!!! That little boy keeps Mommy and Daddy on their toes, but it's SO MUCH FUN!!! He's grown up to be such a little person lately. We often find ourselves staring at him, wondering where the time went.

We've now had our house on the market for about a month. Today will be our second open house. Hopefully there is a good turn out. We can't wait to get out of Harrisburg. We're hoping to build a new house on the east side of Sioux Falls if everything works out!

Another month has come and gone!

It's hard to believe it's September already and even harder to believe that Caeder is going to be 14 months old in just a couple of weeks!!! Caeden has learned new tricks in the past month, not only is he walking all over the place but he's also opening doors, feeding himself with a spoon, going down the slide all by himself, and showing us his belly button. Last night he and Daddy were playing on the floor and Caeden figured out that Daddy has a belly button too!!! It was way too cute! He has developed such a personality in the last month and is just way too much fun to be around!

He's WALKING!!!!!!

On Monday night Caeden decided to take AT LEAST 15 steps, walking from the middle of the living room to the middle of the kitchen!!! Mommy and Daddy were so excited they were clapping and cheering him on! After that he started taking a lot more steps and was no longer holding on to the furniture while he did. Since Monday night he's been walking quite a bit. It's so cute! Grandma Lynnette says he looks like a little orangutan. :) Tonight he even started to whistle!!!! He's growing up way too fast!!!

We're getting closer!!!

On Tuesday Caeden took 8 steps for Grandma Lynnette while Mommy and Lindsey were out shopping! He's getting to be more brave when it comes to the walking thing. One of these days, he's just going to take off! His new favorite thing to do is go up and down the stairs....it makes Grandma Lynnette very nervous because he's not always doing it the "right" way! And if someone starts talking when his mid-way down the stairs he stops to try and find where the voice was coming from. On Wednesday night, Caeder made Mommy cry. He crawled up on to the couch to sit with Mommy. Mommy said "Love you!" and he replied with a "Wov ooh" and gave Mommy a big slobbery, open-mouthed kiss on the cheek. It was the cutest thing ever!

ONE YEAR OLD!!!!

Sorry it's taken us so long to post some new pictures and info. Caeden is keeping Mommy and Daddy on their toes. He's now one year old, weighing 22 pounds and is 29 and 1/2 inches long! Yesterday he took at least three steps if not four on his own. He is definitely on the go!!! On July 11th Caeder got to celebrate his birthday with lots of family and a few close friends at his house. He had a PIRATE party!!! Boy did he have lots of fun, and he definitely made out with a haul! He's been playing with all of his new toys in the past few weeks and loves them! It's hard to believe that he's a year old already!!!

Missouri Trip

Here are some pictures from our trip to Missouri. Caeden had lots of fun and got to celebrate his birthday with Uncle Mike. Caeden was awesome in the car. Mommy and Daddy said they'd take him on vacation any day if he's always going to be that good!!

"No, No, No"

Here's what Caeden does now when he hears the word "No" On Friday when Caeden and Mommy met Aunt Jo, Jenny, Auntie Lindsey, Grandpa Jeff, and Grandma Lynnette for lunch Caeden kept following the waitress everywhere. She came up to him and said "You don't want to look at me because I'm too ugly." Guess what Caeden did, he started shaking his head no!!! What a little flirt! :)

Summer time is here and we're learning new things!

Summer is here and Caeden has become VERY active. He's crawling all over the place, walking along furniture and all other objects. He stood by himself for a few seconds the other day, we're just waiting for him to take off walking. He is really in to clapping now. Especially when Mommy and Daddy say "YAY!" Besides the Mama, Dada, gaga, pa, and ba he is now saying Jada and when someone says "No" or "No, No, No" he is now looking at you with his head tilted, shaking his head and saying "ah, ah, ah". So as you can probably guess he is now hearing "No" a lot more often now. He's frequently found spinning the lazy suzan cabinet and pulling out Mommy's tupperware. He's also very in to the pots and pans. Some of our cabinets have child saftey locks on them and that does not make Caeden very happy!!! His new thing today was crawling in to the dishwasher!!! Caeden has a big week ahead of him! Tomorrow he turns 11 months old and on Friday Mommy, Daddy, Caeden, Auntie Lindsey, Grandpa Jeff and Grandma Lynnette will be hopping in Grandma's van and driving eight and a half hours to Joplin, Missouri to see Lou, Jeff, Erin, Alex, Josh, Jannelle, Mike, Betty, Adam, and hopefully Jeremy, Micah, Austin and Danica! While in Joplin, he'll be celebrating his First Birthday a little early along with Uncle Mike's 50th birthday and Adam's birthday as well. There will be anywhere from 15 to 19 people staying in Lou and Jeff's house. So this should be an interesting trip between the long car ride and all the people! Wish us luck!!!

On the move!

Sorry it's been awhile since we posted any new pictures. Caeden has been keeping us pretty busy and our laptop has kind of been on the fritz lately. Caeden is definitely on the go these days. He's crawling EVERY WHERE and pulling himself up to everything and walking along furniture. Daddy put him on the stairs the other day and he went right up on his own without any help. He's starting to develop quite the attitude too when you say that nasty little word "no". The new baby babble this week is ga ga (which we think might be Grandma- since he looked right at Grandma Reiter and said it). Today we took Caeden out to the cemetery for Memorial Day. He got to see Grandpa Mark's flag for the first time! Last weekend Great Aunt Mary Ann and Great Uncle Jerry were home for Auntie Lindsey's graduation. He got to spend lots of time with them and boy did he have fun!

Update on Caeden

Caeden is now going to the the DR. 3 days this week for Rocephin shots. Today was his second shot and we are so happy because we are getting our happy baby back :) That must mean the shots are doing the trick!!! Lets hope he keeps getting better after the last shot tomorrow. Poor little guy screams so hard when they give it to him :( Yesterday Caeden stood up to his toy bin, pivoted around to stand by the couch and took two steps sideways while holding on to the couch!!!! We're thinking it's about time to get another baby gate for the top of the stairs...this kid is going to be on the move soon!!!

9 and a half months old!

Sorry it's been so long since we've updated Caeden's blog. We've been having a hard time uploading pictures and we've also been super busy with Grandma Lynnette and Grandpa Jeff's anniversary party, Auntie Lindsey's graduation open house and just busy life in general. Caeden has been battling with ear infections for over a month now. Poor baby went to the dr on Friday because he kept spiking a fever off and on for four days. The dr put him on his 4th antibiotic. If this doesn't work we're off to the ENT to discuss putting tubes in his ears. On a happier side Caeden is busy learning all sorts of new tricks. He does "So Big", stands himself up next to furniture (even stands up in his crib), gives fives, waves, says ba for ball, pa for puppy and of course the mamama and dadada :) We've got a smart, and very active, baby on our hands. Caeden got a new hat when he was shopping the other day with Mommy and Grandma Glenda. Mommy bought him some cool shades yesterday at Target. He doesn't even try to take them off!!! Tonight he decided he wanted some money so he reached in to Mommy's purse and pulled out her debit card!
