About 18 hours after being born Caeden was moved to the third floor NICU (a step down NICU) where he is continuing to have his heart rate, oxygen and respiratory levels are being monitored. Wednesday afternoon he was placed on the Billiblanket for his jaundice. Their main concern has been his feeding after all of the stress he went through during labor and delivery. He was on an IV until Thursday when they started to ween him off as his feedings became longer and more successful. By Friday morning he was completely off of it and showing very good signs of being close to coming home. Yesterday he became really spitty and was throwing up quite a bit, so around 4:00 this morning he was placed back on the IV so he would not become dehydrated. They ran some tests this morning on his intestines and everything is looking fine, so he may just have an easily upset belly. We're hoping to be able to feed him around noon today. With any luck he should be coming home tomorrow or Monday. So please cross your fingers and say a prayer for our little guy. We're ready to have him home and his "brother" and "sister" are anxiously awaiting his arrival. They're all decked out in blue bandannas for the occasion :)
